Colombia Risaralda Mustafa Estate
Vanilla, Honey, Red Apple
Ana Mustafá’s coffee comes from Vereda El Pital de Combia, a rural district on the western edge of Pereira in the department of Risaralda, Colombia. Risaralda is part of the Eje Cafetero, the country’s historic coffee axis, where volcanic soils, regular rainfall and steep mountain terrain have shaped generations of coffee farming.
The farm sits between 1,550 and 1,650 metres above sea level. At this altitude, cool nights slow the ripening of the cherries, allowing sugars to develop fully before harvest. Ana grows several varieties alongside her specialty lots, and this selection is Castillo, a variety developed in Colombia for its resistance to leaf rust and valued by producers for its reliability in the field. In careful hands, it delivers a cup that is both consistent and expressive.
We roast this lot to highlight its natural sweetness, with a profile that works well as both espresso and filter. The result is a soft, approachable Colombian coffee that rewards everyday drinking. Expect a smooth vanilla opening and a rounded honey body, with bright red-fruit notes adding lift and sweetness to the finish.
