Black Tea, Lime, Fresh Peach
Colombia’s many faces are stunningly surprising: two oceans, the Amazon River, snow-capped mountains as well as vivid urban communities. Each state and region in Colombia is said to have an individual character creating a diverse mix of culture as well as topographic settings. The Colombian department of Tolima is the third-largest coffee producer in the country, accounting for about 12% of the total Colombian coffee production. Tolima counts with high-quality soils and abundant natural water streams flowing down from three snow-peaked volcanos, with altitudes of up to 5,400 meters above sea level. This beautiful farm called Los Cauchos is located in the southern part of the Tolima department and is run by Willar Rada and his family. He is a member of the local cooperative and is fully committed to producing high-quality coffee. For Willar, his family is the principal motivator for his work. Thanks to his dedication and passion, the farm has yielded some outstanding coffees. He carefully selects the red and ripe cherries, and after depulping and fermenting them for 18 hours, the parchment is finally laid out onto parabolic solar tunnels for drying. We proudly present you this superb coffee, the fruit of arduous labor by a passionate coffee farmer. |
