Johan, a young and passionate coffee grower, comes from a traditional coffee family and is the proud owner of Las Flores, 16-hectare farm situated in Acevedo, Huila.

Here he dedicates himself to experimenting and processing some of the most outstanding coffes from the region, growing a variety of beans such as Java, Pink Bourbon and Maracaturra.

Along with his siblings, Jhoan inherited the farm from their parents and since their mother Nubia Ayure’s particioation in the Cup of Excellence competition in 2006, the family has become increasingly focused on the specialty coffee scene in Colombia.

This coffee was grown by Johan at the farm Las Flaores, the coffee was carefully hand picked in order to select only the ripest cherries. Later, the cherries were fermentedfor 40 hours in an anaerobic environment. During this fermentation stage, dried mint leaves were added. Then the cherries were pulped, gently washed and sundried until ideal moisture content was achieved.

The microlot is 100% Yellow Bourbon. This varietal is a natural mutation of the Coffee Arabigo.
